Motorcycling approved training events added to calendar

29 May 09:  Motorcycle update

Motorcycle Training: BAFMA has
secured a number of Motorcycle
events which have the status of
Authorised Military Training. These
are listed in the attached table. This
is the definitive list for 09. There will
be no additions.

The full authority is contained in DIN
2009 DIN 07 - 055.

Your attention is drawn to extremely
important para 9 of the DIN "Units
must ensure that participation of
individuals & teams is recorded in
Admin Instructions and/or Unit Part 1
Orders. This must be done for each
competition - and before the start."

You are all reminded that Exercise
Hard Ride - The "Army Champs" will
run at Longmoor on 5/6 September -
the format will be much as before -
obviously there will be no Harleys -
only bikes previously known as class
B ie privately owned and bikes owned
by Regiments & Corps. If we are to
continue to have duty status in
future, it is essential to have a good
turnout on Hard Ride - Be there!

5th and 6th September 2009, Ex Hard Ride, Longmoor (Motorcycling, Armed Forces Motorcycle Championship ~ Mil Only)

19th and 20th September 2009, Ex Benson Burner, RAF Benson (Motoring)                 

26th and 27th September 2009, Ex Natterjack, Longmoor (Motorcycling, run by REME ~ Civilian Participation)

3rd and 4th October 2009,  (CHANGE OF DATE), Ex Dragonfly, Grantham (Motoring)

12th to 17th October 2009, International Six Days Enduro, Portugal (Motorcycling ~ Civilian Event)

31st October and 1st November 2009 (CHANGE OF DATE), Ex Mudmaster, Edinburgh (Motoring)
